Not only can you take in some amazing concerts, but you can also continue the Mardi Gras fun at Universal Studios Florida! On select nights from February 8th through May 31st, you can experience a “N’awlins”-inspired, family friendly version of Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida. How cool is that?! You will find amazing theme park entertainment combined with delectable Cajun cuisine, authentic New Orleans bands, as well as an awe-inspiring parade where you can catch colorful beads and watch 12 vibrant floats, including three new additions celebrating Jules Verne’s novel, “Around the World in Eighty Days.” Fun little tid-bit…..all of the Mardi Gras floats are engineered by Blaine Kern Artists, the same company that has been hand-crafting floats for the iconic New Orleans celebration since 1947!
What I think is really cool is that you will be able to visit Universal Studios Florida’s very own French Quarter Courtyard! I visited New Orleans a few years ago and it was historically beautiful. I can’t wait to see how “real” the French Quarter Courtyard at Universal Studios Florida is going to look! You will even be able to chow down on authentic Cajun cuisine and see performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street. Sweet!
All of the Universal Orlando Mardi Gras fun is included with admission to Universal Studios Florida! You can visit with Optimus Prime, hang out with the Minions, stop over to Harry Potter’s World, and enjoy the Mardi Gras festivities as well! If you are heading to Universal Orlando, heading to Springfield and hanging with The Simpson’s is a must and I highly recommend Loews Royal Pacific Resort if you are looking for a place to stay!
